Zahid Hasan Rakib: “English Language Club” started its journey with the aim of practicing English to the students of Government Titumir College.
Department of English at Govt Titumir College has established this Club with a great moto “Make your English better than before”. It is equipped with the facilities of modern club along with a renewed skill. The club has been established officially on 13th March 2021. We got permitted through the head of English department Prof. Saleka Mahmood madam and then we have gotten approved from our honorable Vice-principal Prof. Talat Sultana madam and also The Principal Prof. MD Ashraf Hossain sir. We are really glad to say something our organization. Alhamdulillah, our honorable teachers’ (Department of English) they have highly appreciated and helped us to run this organization. Specially our Advisor Assistant Prof. Akm Bazlur Rahman sir and Assistant Prof. Al Mamun Russell sir. We are really grateful to our honorable teachers.
However, this language club was started on 10th march 2019 but it was unofficial when we started our journey with a motto” Start your journey of learning ” to make a platform where everybody can practice English. Once there were a group of students united one another who had the same dream and purpose to build such a platform where every student can learn English practically. According to the dream and purpose, the group of students have been cherishing and working to establish the platform.
The ELC committee members said that the ELC confident organization will be shared commitment to vision, mission and future plan that is both inspiring and motivating moreover this perspective and energy to learn and encouraging participation. The ELC will be improving your learning ability, creating centers of excellence, transparent environment of ongoing knowledge sharing, networking, collaboration and team learning. We believe that teamwork accomplishes the dream work.
The language club of Govt Titumir College is run by the department of English. The club aims at developing English proficiency with a special focus on the four basic skills (i.e., reading, writing, listening, and speaking) through different language activities. The English Department of this college is accelerating its promotion to elevate the quality of English language and at the same time make it more interesting and meaningful to the students.

Government Titumir College English Language Club-GTC ELC is an educational organization, completely non-communal, non-political, nonprofitable, voluntary, democratic and student welfare-oriented organizations. This organizations will not have any affiliation or this organizations will not act as an affiliate of any other organizations.
Goals and Objectives:
1. To assist all the present students of Government Titumir College in creating an environment for the development of the underlying potential through English practice. To make the students proficient in English through simple and correct practice of English language.
2. Organizing various workshops in the field of English practice such as debates, Extempore speech, quizzes, book reviews, cultural programs, stage plays, meetings and seminars.
3. Collaborate in a comprehensive manner by providing training and facilities to talented and proficient members in various fields of English language to participate in competitive events at various national and international levels. 4. Public Speaking and Presentation.
5. Practice writing English stories, monolog, poems, plays, novels etc.
6. Arranging English articles or writing practice or competitions on various subjects.
7. Working with Basic to Advanced English Grammar.
8. Organizing seminars, symposiums, day celebrations, seminars on special occasions.
9. Conduct at least one literary chat every month.
10. Will take initiative to publish newspapers, magazines or Titumir TV broadcasts etc and so on.
